What is a Jamboard? This is a Jamboard! - https://youtu.be/-RaT2sHL4aw
The Jamboard is an interactive whiteboard developed by Google. It has a touch screen and can be used like a large tablet, a whiteboard, a video board, screen cast or an interactive collaboration tool. It has an operating system that is very similar to the Chrome OS on an android tablet.
Our Jamboard is on a rolling cart, and set up for Conference Room A. Moving the Jamboard should be done with great caution, and only with permission. The touchscreen on the Jamboard is very sensitive, and MUST be well cared for. Do not use any harsh chemicals of any kind; only use a clean dry cloth. The Jamboard should only be used by Town staff.
The simplest way to connect to the Jamboard display is via an HDMI cable. There should be one connected to the back of the unit. When connecting via HDMI, you will need to switch inputs via the button on the back of the unit.
Wireless casting is the second way to connect your display to the Jamboard. This requires two things. One, your Jamboard and the PC to be displayed must be logged into the same wireless network. (Town, SELCO, or guest). Please see our knowledge base for an article specific to logging the Jamboard into a wireless network.
Secondly, you will need to know how to cast your desktop using the Google Chromecast extension. Please see our knowledge base for an article specific to Google Chromecast.
